Raising a Grateful Child

Would you like to raise a grateful child? All parents do. Parents desire to raise children who are happy, healthy, and grateful. How do you teach a child to be grateful? By modeling gratefulness to the child. Children, especially at a young age, are like sponges where they absorb quickly everything they see around them.

My three-year-old son mimics everything he sees and repeats what he hears, so we are careful about our actions and words around him.

If you want your child to say thank you, you say thank you. You say please, sorry, and excuse me; your child will follow suit. Be your child’s model of goodness.
